Great friendly, fresh local deli - the subs, sandwiches and pastas are yummy! Skip the chain sub shops and come here!

Visited Maretti's for lunch. We ordered a corned beef sandwich and a Italian beef sandwich - both were delicious and packed with meat. The bread was perfectly baked. I was slightly underwhelmed by the antipasto we ordered - it sells by the pound and they "loaded it" with yellow peppers (which I thought distracted from the other ingredients). Would I come back? Absolutely! But I would order a different pasta dish. The sandwiches were filling and I have no complaint at all with them.

We went in looking for a deli sandwich that was not "subway". Having never been here before we ordered our sandwiches to go and went to the lake to eat them. What an experience. They were delicious. I felt like I was eating a New York Deli Sub and I've never had one of those either. When we entered we were greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. The place was amazing. Very clean. I will be back for sure when I'm in town again.

Now if this is a little hidden Jen , I want to shout it out. This folks make a very good salami/procuito sub. Good meat to bread ratio, well wrapped, and served. Nice to see the small dining room was serving hot pasta dishes. Since my son's family lives in town, we will return.

What a great find! We were driving through town and stumbled across this by accident. My wife had the meatball sub which was really good. I tried the Italian beef sub. It was packed with delicious thinly sliced beef that had just the right amount of heat. I highly recommend!

Was just there for lunch. The staff people there are very nice and attentive. The Ruben sandwich (sans meat) was very good; and my wife liked her fish sandwich, too. I've heard all of their sandwiches are very good. Minestrone soup was great as was the tomato basil soup. The menu has a good variety of Italian entrees. All sorts of goodies at the deli case. There are ample options for vegetarians. A good place to patronize in downtown Manitowoc. Good food and friendly service. You will be glad that you went there.

Service: Super friendly and always multitasking. They all work very hard and are complete sweethearts when I come in. If you don't know what to order they always have great suggestions. Atmosphere: Clean environment. A bit small; so during dinner rush it can get a bit close quarters. Bathrooms are usually very clean. Décor is a bit outdated and the booths are falling apart and held together by velcro; but it is a mom and pop kind of place and you can feel the love when you walk in. Food: THE BEST. The sandwiches are the bee's knees and the only place in town to get an authentic Italian sub. Great bread, quality ingredients and SO MANY OPTIONS. Their salads are always fresh and are made to order. The Mesclun salad is my standard; I could eat it any day of the week and be satisfied, the saltiness of the Kalamata olives with the creaminess of the ball mozzarella cheese is perfect. They have homemade soups every day, a minimum of 3 to choose from. If they ever have the soup of the day as the mushroom and wild rice soup-get it. You will not regret it. Nothing but praise for this local little deli.
